William F. Bell is a grinding process consultant for the bearing and automotive industries. His experience was gained from academic and industrial environments.
* Bearing Manufacture
Extensive experience manufacturing ball and roller bearings for automotive, aerospace, military and agricultural applications.
* Gauge Systems
Experience with in-process and post-process gauges used to control product size and shape. Experienced with Edmunds, Marposs and Control Gage products.
* Process Engineering
Developed computer models to optimize grinding cycles based on machine mechanical, and electrical features combined with grinding theory to yield optimum production and quality of parts.
* OPEX
Bell has utilized many of the current crop of management tools to achieve operational excellence goals. These tools include 5S, Lean, FMEA, TPM, TQM, DOE and VSMs
* Superabrasive Applications
Vitrified bonded CBN abrasives were successfully applied across a broad range of bearing surfaces including raceways, outside diameters, bores and flanges.
* Training Programs
Bell has extensive experience teaching grinding theory and practice from class room to real world shop floor applications. Training has been performed for domestic and international groups.
